Material Science and Engineering

Research Direction:

Key research areas of Material Science and Engineering include clean energy science ( relating to the solar cells, lithium/sodium ion batteries, microbial fuel cells, and optical/electrical catalytic ), nano-biomedical materials (relating to the biological material, drug delivery, cancer diagnosis and treatment and biological analysis and sensing ), functional ceramics (relating to the dielectric, ferroelectric and piezoelectric materials and metal functional materials (involving the amorphous alloy exploration, the material damage and fracture and material surface treatment).

Training Objectives:

l Ensuring the all-round development of the graduates and a solid system of material science theory and experimental skills.

l Mastering modern instrumental analysis methods and understand the forefront of materials science development and dynamic.

l Being able to adapt to our country economy, science and technology, education development needs.

l Being able to conduct the material science research, teaching and management of innovative entrepreneurial talents.

l The degree holders should have an international perspective, have the courage to innovate or start a business, have good scientific quality, be able to work independently in the discipline and related disciplines and have the ability of lifelong learning.
